According to State Street's research, more than half of institutional investors expect their exposure to digital assets to double within the next three years.

ChainCatcher news, recently, according to a report from CoinDesk, a 2025 digital asset outlook report released by State Street shows that more than half of the surveyed institutional investors expect their digital asset exposure to double in the next three years, and 60% of institutional investors plan to increase their digital asset allocation within a year. The survey indicates that tokenization of private markets is seen as the first major wave of blockchain adoption, with tokenization of private equity and fixed income being the most likely starting points. By 2030, most respondents expect 10% to 24% of their total investment portfolios to be tokenized. Transparency and operational efficiency are the main factors driving this shift. More than half of the respondents believe that improving asset data visibility is a key advantage, and nearly half of the respondents anticipate that adopting digital asset infrastructure could save at least 40% in costs. Currently, 40% of institutions have established dedicated digital asset departments.
