How to spot rotation before CT starts talking about it
If you’re hearing about rotation on your timeline, you’re already late.
By the time CT agrees, the easy part is over.
Here’s how I look for rotation before it becomes a narrative
First, stop watching price alone. Rotation shows up in relative strength not green candles.
I watch pairs: • ETH/BTC • Alts/BTC • Sector vs sector
When something stops making new lows *while BTC chops*, that’s usually the first tell.
Second, track what **doesn’t dump**.
Real rotation starts when: • BTC pulls back • the market gets quiet • and certain assets refuse to follow
Strength during boredom > strength during pumps.
Third, watch dominance, not headlines.
BTC dominance stalling or compressing near resistance is often the market quietly preparing to rotate. It rarely breaks in one candle — it *leaks* lower first.
That leak is where positioning happens.
Fourth, observe volume behavior.
Rotation isn’t loud at first. Volume expands on **up moves**, dries up on **down moves**.
That asymmetry tells you capital is shifting, not leaving.
Fifth, pay attention to *what people are bored with*.
The best rotations usually start in assets no one is talking about anymore. When CT is distracted by noise, capital is doing real work elsewhere.

The takeaway:
Rotation doesn’t announce itself.
It confirms itself *after* it’s already underway.
If you wait for consensus, you’re trading narratives.
If you watch structure and relative strength, you’re trading information.
That’s the difference between catching moves early
and reading about them later.
