ETH update - dec 20
$ETH lost its range and is now sitting in a high-confluence demand zone.
Structure is weak short term, but downside momentum is slowing.
ETH usually lags during stress and outperforms once BTC stabilizes.
If BTC holds and BTC.D stalls, ETH is positioned for a sharper rebound relative to most alts.

BTC.D
$BTC.d is trending up and holding higher lows, which tells you capital is still hiding in Bitcoin.
This explains why alts feel heavy. As long as dominance stays elevated, alt rallies will be limited and short-lived.
A clean rollover in BTC.D is the real green light for alt season not price alone.

BTC update - Dec 20
$BTC lost the key $100K range and flushed hard, but is now trying to stabilize in the mid–high $80Ks.
The selloff looks emotional rather than structural long wicks + rising volume suggest forced selling may be close to done.
This is a damage-control phase: bulls need acceptance above prior support to shift momentum, otherwise it stays a volatile chop zone.

ETH is trading around $2,983 and basically sitting on a major demand band (shaded zone).
This zone is the line between:
“ETH is resetting for another leg” vs
“ETH is just bouncing because it’s allowed to breathe today.”
My read: ETH looks like it’s trying to defend the floor, but it still needs follow-through (higher highs) to stop feeling like a relief rally.

$BTC.D
BTC.D is still trending up / holding strength, even after a red day. That usually means liquidity is still hiding in BTC and alts have to “earn” every pump.
The higher BTC.D stays, the more it feels like alt rallies will be short-lived and selective, not a clean “everything sends” season.
My read: until BTC.D rolls over, altseason is mostly hopium

$BTC (1D)
BTC bounced hard off the lows and is back around $87,959 after printing $85,114 on the day.
Right now it looks like BTC is trying to build a base in the mid/high 80s. If it keeps failing under the 100K zone, expect more chop + fakeouts.
My read: we need a cleaner reclaim above that big supply zone to change the vibe.

Altcoin Season Index is still at 35.
What that usually means:
BTC is the main character and alts are in the background like “can I get a line?”
You’ll see a few random +30% green candles, then the same coin is -18% the next day like it remembered it has bills.
Real “altseason” is when this index gets above 50 and stays there… and 70+ is when everything pumps and your group chat starts saying “we’re early” (you’re not).
My take: this isn’t altseason yet BTC still has the remote.
