A solo miner successfully mined a Bitcoin block using equipment worth up to $300.
An unknown lucky miner mined block #887212 using a home setup from Bitaxe (priced between $150 and $300) with a hash rate of 480 GH/s. For comparison, this is only 1/27th of the hash rate of an old Antminer S9 from Bitmain.
