TechFlow Deep Tide, March 18 — According to Nikkei Asia, Japan and the United States plan to collaborate on developing artificial intelligence robots for the shipbuilding sector. Both sides are expected to reach an agreement on this matter at a Washington summit to be held this Thursday. Japan's goal is to double its domestic shipbuilding output by 2035 compared to 2024 levels. Additionally, the two countries will also cooperate on issues including joint development of rare earths, addressing supply chain disruptions in critical minerals, and dialogue on cybersecurity and economic security.
