The United States ends the previous administration's investigation into China's chip trade and will not impose additional tariffs on Chinese chips for the next 18 months.

Odaily Planet Daily News: The US government announced on the 23rd that it will impose additional tariffs on Chinese chips in 2027, ending the trade investigation against Chinese chips initiated by the previous Biden administration. US media analysis states that although the US government claims China’s practices in the chip industry “harm US interests,” the final decision is to at least not impose additional tariffs on Chinese chips for the next 18 months. Bloomberg reported that the temporary suspension of new tariffs is the latest signal from the US government seeking to consolidate the China-US “ceasefire” agreement and stabilize China-US relations.
