Recently, discussions about XRP price forecasts have heated up again. Digital Ascension Group CEO Jake Claver cited a past comment from a certain CEX, sparking market speculation about “whether XRP could reach $1000.” However, a deeper analysis reveals that this claim remains more at the emotional and hypothetical level rather than a rigorous price prediction.
From the market performance perspective, XRP showed significant pressure in Q4 2025. Since October, XRP has declined approximately 34%, breaking below the $2 psychological threshold, with the current price around $1.87. If the current level holds for the close, XRP may experience its first annual decline since the 2022 bear market, which also weakens the short-term basis for a substantial rally.
Regarding price forecasts, the aforementioned CEX previously cited analysis from Grok AI at the beginning of 2025, projecting a bullish target range for XRP between $9 and $13. This forecast was later mentioned again by XRP community member Ripple Bull Winkle. However, considering that 2025 is nearing its end, the likelihood of XRP achieving a 381% to 595% increase in the short term is extremely low, leading some to postpone this target to 2026.
As for the claim that “XRP will reach $1000,” its origin is more controversial. The core basis mentioned by Jake Claver is a historical post reviewed by the same CEX in September 2024, which simply posed a question to investors: if XRP were to reach $1000 one day, what choices would they make? This content is essentially a hypothetical scenario rather than an official price forecast.
From a data perspective, to reach $100, XRP would need to increase by approximately 5,247%; to reach $1,000, it would require a surge of up to 53,375%. This implies that extreme changes in market cap, capital scale, and real-world application would be necessary. Even from a long-term perspective, such targets remain highly speculative.
Overall, discussions surrounding XRP price forecasts, XRP bull market target prices, and future trends more reflect market sentiment and narrative expectations. For investors, it remains crucial to distinguish rational, verifiable predictions from hypothetical discussions when assessing XRP investment risks and potential returns.
