XRP "Soars to $3 in 48 Hours" Called Out for Fake News, Analyst: Beware of Crypto Scam KOLs

The crypto market is once again filled with exaggerated calls. Analyst Jesse Livermore (@altcoinking88) recently publicly refuted the claim that “XRP will rise to $3 within 48 hours,” and warned investors to be cautious of typical crypto scam KOL tactics. He emphasized that such statements are not based on rational analysis but are designed to create urgency to attract retail investors, essentially providing liquidity for others to exit.

With XRP approaching $1.90, Livermore offered a relatively conservative long-term outlook. He believes that, based on fundamentals and historical cycles, a reasonable price expectation for XRP in 2026 is around $0.96. This view sharply contrasts with the popular market narrative of “quick doubling,” and also clearly dismisses short-term explosive growth predictions.

He pointed out that keywords like “48-hour surge,” “countdown breakout,” and “certain explosive rise” are classic phrases repeatedly used by crypto scam KOLs. These messages are often concentrated at critical moments to induce new funds into the market and help early holders cash out at high prices. Such patterns are not limited to XRP but frequently appear across various altcoins and meme tokens.

Livermore further stated that this behavior causes great harm to novice investors and damages the credibility of XRP and the entire crypto industry in the long run. He called on the community to actively identify and avoid accounts spreading false price targets, and to unfollow or report them when necessary to reduce the risk of being misled.

Currently, there are clear disagreements within the XRP community about future trends. One camp believes that with institutional adoption and regulatory progress, XRP could rise to several dollars; another believes its reasonable range remains between $1 and $2. Livermore firmly takes a cautious stance, emphasizing the importance of capital preservation, independent judgment, and risk management.

In an environment where crypto market noise is increasing, this warning provides an important reminder for investors: rather than blindly chasing “XRP explosive growth predictions,” maintaining rationality, verifying information, and avoiding KOL hype are often more sustainable investment strategies.
