BNB Chain has officially deployed the ERC-8004 infrastructure on both Mainnet and Testnet, marking a significant step forward in bringing autonomous and trustless AI agents to the blockchain. ERC-8004 introduces a standard for identity and reputation, allowing AI to operate independently while still being verifiable. Each AI agent is assigned a unique on-chain identity in the form of an ERC-721 token, enabling users and smart contracts to verify the agent’s validity and capabilities.
The system consists of three core components: Identity Registry (determining who the agent is), Reputation Registry (permanently storing performance metrics), and Validation Registry (verifying results via zk-proof or TEE).
Alongside this, BNB Chain has launched BAP-578 with the concept of Non-Fungible Agents (NFA), allowing AI agents to own wallets, manage assets, and transact with other software. Thanks to low fees and high speed, BNB Chain is becoming an ideal platform for AI-to-AI economy.
