On July 4th, Jinsan Data reported that the Turkish Ministry of Defense issued a statement on the night of July 3rd local time, stating that the Turkish security forces launched airstrikes in the Metina, Gara, Hakurk, Kandil, and Asos regions in northern Iraq, targeting caves, shelters, havens, and warehouses where the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) was hiding. The statement said that the airstrikes destroyed 37 targets, including residences of senior PKK members, and killed multiple PKK members.
