The two most unbeatable states in the financial markets are: 1/ I have everything, so it's okay to take a gamble; 2/ I have nothing, and if I lose, I can always start over. The most uncomfortable group is those with a bit of money but no freedom—they're afraid to gamble because they might lose their current comfortable life. If they don't gamble, they can't become wealthy. Trading becomes conservative, and even when they seize a profit opportunity, they don't make much. But the advantage of this is that they won't lose much either.
