there are simply too few assets (supply) compared to the amount of money that wants to invest in assets (demand). this is causing broad asset inflation.
the only way forward is to make more investable assets

one reason why bonding curves are lindy are because they enable the quickest (and most well understood) way for users to express their opinions

your opinion should change on bonding curves once you realize that xy=k is a form of bonding curve
bonding curves = supply curves

look - there’s a correct price. It’s ORDAINED but us mere mortals must simply gaze upon a representation of it
it is your duty to help find the market price

IPOs in the 1980s had huge marketing benefits to the company doing them
I suspect we are seeing similar effects from token launches as well

one general problem with initial pricing auctions is they are both recursive and bursty
a bad auction begets a bad auction while a good one creates a better one

sniping is probabilistic now - it’s a response to predicted flow. If your auction optimizes for single block price discovery then ur ngmi

sniping is caused by the price being incorrect - bonding curves do not induce the sniping (though they make it easier)
anyone who says they have solved sniping fundamentally does not understand what they are creating

one of my favorite + underrated token launch was the COW token launch.
The protocol utilized cowswap’s native limit orders + other order types (I believe twap) to help create a decentralized token launch. Never caught on, but way ahead of its time.
