one general problem with initial pricing auctions is they are both recursive and bursty
a bad auction begets a bad auction while a good one creates a better one

one of my favorite + underrated token launch was the COW token launch.
The protocol utilized cowswap’s native limit orders + other order types (I believe twap) to help create a decentralized token launch. Never caught on, but way ahead of its time.
