Terra Luna Classic’s v2.2.1 Upgrade: LUNC and USTC Prices Surge Toward $1

In a groundbreaking move, the Terra Luna Classic blockchain recently underwent a pivotal v2.2.1 core upgrade. The L1 Terra Classic Task Force (L1TF) developer group, after extensive dedication, has effectively brought the v2.2.1 upgrade to fruition, further solidifying Terra Luna Classic’s position in the blockchain realm.

The upgrade began its process at block height 14514000 at 10:15 UTC on September 12. Managed by the L1TF core developer group, this procedure spanned a lengthier duration as compared to their swifter v2.1.1 parity upgrade in June.

Significant Inclusions in the v2.2.1 Upgrade

This latest upgrade boasts a suite of enhancements for the Terra Luna Classic chain. Among them are the integration of a fresh cosmos SDK, the transition of tendermint to CometBFT, and the introduction of IBC-go to v6, along with wasmd versions. Additionally, the upgrade embodies key alterations previously approved via governance voting, which consists of the division of the burn tax to the distribution module.

As the upgrade unfolded, validators took initiative, with PFC being the first to operate after three hours. Subsequent validators gradually came online. However, the L1TF hasn’t yet divulged specifics about the transition or any challenges encountered. Furthermore, some community platforms like Terra Classic Station, wallet, and Finder were temporarily inaccessible, inciting anticipation for updates from both Hexxagon and L1TF.

On a side note, renowned crypto exchange Binance, among others, has publicly pledged support for the Terra Luna Classic network enhancement.

Token Price Movements Post-Upgrade

Concurrent with these developments, there’s been a noticeable upswing in the values of Terra Luna Classic eco tokens, LUNC and USTC. LUNC’s price has elevated by nearly 4% in the preceding 24 hours, with its price currently hovering at $0.000057. USTC, similarly, is trading at $0.012, marking a 3% ascent within the same period. This surge is not only attributed to the upgrade but also reflects a mild recuperation in the larger crypto market.
