The crypto ecosystem continues to splinter into specialized verticals while consolidation remains elusive. Privacy-focused blockchains captured investor attention and dominated discourse this cycle. Meanwhile, performance-oriented Layer 1s competed fiercely to deliver web2-grade user experiences. App-chain infrastructures and coordination hubs evolved substantially, emerging as the backbone for ecosystem-specific chain deployments.

Privacy coins are indeed popular this wave, but I feel like they'll still end up in the hands of others.

Just by looking at the fragmentation, you know Bitcoin is going to fall. No matter how loud the privacy side boasts, it can't save it.

The fragmentation trend is so obvious, are you still waiting for unification? Dream on. Privacy coins are hot again this round, but the number of people actually using them is still so few. Layer 1 trying to emulate Web2 experience—sounds good, but the interaction fees are still ridiculously high. App chains are increasing, but only those who can survive will matter in the end. The ecosystem is so fragmented, it feels more like each is acting independently.

Privacy chains are back again, it feels like every cycle is just reheating the same old dish.
